Chalets for Heroes

With the help of Holidays 4 Heroes Jersey we have undertaken extensive research to provide something unique to the United Kingdom’s veterans of armed conflict (Chalets for Heroes) as part of a self-catering business (Taylor’s Rest). We intend to liaise with the charities Combat Stress and the British Legion Poppy Appeal, Scotland to achieve the following aim:

“To welcome and provide a week’s holiday on our beautiful islands to any former or serving member of HM Forces injured in mind or body during, or as a result of their service.”

Our contribution would take the form of eight weeks of holiday per year four per chalet. We believe the relaxation and natural calm that Orkney has to offer would help heal the hidden wounds of service veterans. These holidays would be allocated by the Band of Sisters/British Legion and no money would be paid to us, any third party donations being made direct to the British Legion.
